Brief description of the locality
Tarazona is located 86 km from Zaragoza. This Roman municipality was inhabited successively by Visigoths, Arabs, Jews and Christians making it one of the most emblematic towns in the whole of Aragón. The expansion of the town conditioned the urban layout of Tarazona right from medieval times with high districts, large rambling houses, alleys, archways and narrow streets.
The rich heritage of Tarazona is further enhanced by its very attractive sorrounding area: the Moncayo mountains, the Cistercian Monastery of Veruela and the examples of Mudejar architecture which can be found in the villages of this area.
